Feiro is looking to increase our baby raising capacity with a new wet table and supplies.
Help us raise funds by donating during this Heart-filled holiday. Donations accepted Thursday, February 12th – Monday, February 17th

Over the years, Feiro has had the perk of baby animals in its waters. This includes those who come in via our open flow system such as the baby Northern Clingfish babies spotted in the summer of 2024, and those who are born or hatch within our exhibits such as our baby Moon Jellies, Gunnels, Sailfin Sculpins, and most recently the Pacific Spiny Lumpsuckers.
Raising baby marine animals can have many challenges. One of the aspects that helps rearing the local critters be successful is being able to maintain the cold-water temperature. This past year, a big part of our successful rearing of Pacific Spiny Lumpsuckers was due to our adjusting one of the current open-top exhibits into a water bath for the babies critter keeper, basically we used the exhibit as a wet table.

By installing an wet table, we will have more flexibility to place new born (or new hatched) babies in a water bath without having to compromise another exhibit. A designated area will also allow animal care staff to have easy access for monitoring these precious life stages without blocking them from visitor viewing.
Thank you for lending your BIG heart to assist us growing our little hearts at Feiro
