Ocean Scratchboard Adult Art Class
Date: Saturday, November 8
Time: 10:00 – 1:30 PM
Location: Feiro Marine Life Center, Port Angeles
Cost: $45 Members, $55 Non-members (+8.9% sales tax)
On black scratchboard paper, scratch away the darkness to reveal the shimmering golden, silver or rainbow colors hidden beneath. Learn techniques from professional artist Robert Amaral and use Feiro’s large collection of fish, shells, skulls, and invertebrates to inspire you to scratch some beautiful creations. Scratch paper is provided but feel free to bring your own supplies or scratch sticks. As the days shorten, we’re embracing the darkness and looking for the beauty hidden within. The class will begin with a short lesson about bioluminescence and other creatures you can find in the dark depths of the ocean.
What to Expect:

- Art demonstration on drawing techniques and concepts
- Observe & draw marine life, skeletons, shells & more
- Time to explore the Aquarium & exhibits
