Volunteering at Feiro is a great way to … share your expertise with others, learn something new every day, have a “wow” experience, help meet a mission to engage others in marine and watershed environments, get outdoors, give back to the community, and make friends!

We welcome volunteers of all ages – those 14 and younger must volunteer together with an adult. Also, no prior knowledge in marine biology is required!

Key Positions:

Naturalists

Our largest and most challenging need is for Naturalists. We provide the training you need to answer visitors’ questions about many aspects of our marine life. It is the knowledge and friendliness of our Naturalists that make certain that people will want to return again and again.

Education Programs

If you love working with youth and are available during school hours or afterschool, consider becoming an education volunteer.  We also offer a variety of lifelong learning programs for adults. Programs include field studies on Peabody Creek, Hollywood Beach and City Pier, STEM education (underwater robotics club and programs and digital media integration) and arts integration.

Help enhance the student learning experience as an education programs volunteer.
