Will You Be the 10,000th Guest?
Help Break a Record!
On the heels of being voted Best Museum in Clallam County, we are close to breaking our summer attendance record! We have to beat 10,384 visits before 5pm on Sunday October 8th. And to help, we’re offering a one-of-a-kind prize to our 10,000th guest.
Traditionally, Feiro’s summer season extends from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. Over the last three years we have extended summer hours to include the Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival weekend in early October. An independent non-profit since 2008, staff and volunteers, supported in part by local grants and donations, have worked to upgrade exhibits, increase learning opportunities and provide an engaging guest experience, with the result that the last three summers have seen attendance just over 10,000 people. This summer, Feiro is asking for help in breaking its record of 10,384 guests between Memorial Day weekend and the end of Crab Fest, Sunday October 8th. The 10,000th guest will be awarded a one-of-a-kind prize to commemorate their visit.
Volunteer naturalists staff the center daily, helping guests learn about marine life of the region, pointing out new additions and sharing unusual stories of the collection, such as our two ochre sea stars that are at least 35 years old and measure nearly 2 feet across. This summer you can fly an underwater robot and assist in feeding the marine life. Hours are 10am-5pm daily. Feiro members receive free admission. We encourage you to stop in and help us break the record!
