Tonight, January 5th, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM there will be a presentation on stormwater at the Port Angeles library in the Carver Meeting Room. This is the 3rd of a 4 part series about stormwater issues and possible solutions. Dr. Christopher W. May will speak on “Water is a Resource: Keeping it Clean and Reusable.” Dr. May will talk about how storm water can be controlled naturally and economically. He will explain Kitsap’s sustainable land use practices that employ science based effective and efficient management of water resources by preserving and restoring Kitsap’s natural hydrology, reducing pollutants before storm water returns to surface and ground waters, and recharging the areas groundwater.
