Beached Sea Lion Site Clear to Return to Public Use

An update on the beached Steller sea lion on Ediz Hook in Port Angeles.

Last week an aquatic animal veterinarian and an official with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife determined the animal was not going to recover and euthanized it humanely. A necropsy was conducted to determine the cause of its illness. No results are yet available.

The beach is now clear for public use.

You can read more about it in the Peninsula Daily News.
